I've owned two modern bike with triple cranks recently. And on both bikes, the middle ring was biased way toward the small side (39 teeth). I replaced both with a true "middle" ring (42 teeth) and was much happier. So I ended up with two expensive, identical and almost new chain rings. Couldn't throw them away! So I figured they'd make great knobbies. Rolled out the plasma torch and grabbed a rusty metal shelf. Presto! Bike art.

Now it proudly hangs on the main beam of my "bike port."
