Bike stand

Esge Stand. Modification to the bottom of the integrated stand plate to allow passage of rear derailleur cable. Ralph suggests just cutting the whole edge of the plate off instead of adding notches.

The tight area where the stand is to go. I glued on some inner tube rubber to protect the paint. The little cross tube is to mount a fender, apparently. If that weren't there, I think I could make this work... Maybe if I have a hole drilled straight down through it perpendicular to the bolt shown?

The integrated stand plate cannot be centered in the chainstay opening because the bulky part of the hinge mechanism hits the timing chain ring on the near side of the bike. Here the stand mounting hole is shown WAY off to the drive side of the bike, though the angle doesn't make it clear how far off it is.

The slot in the upper clamp plate. Would work perfectly if the plate could sit here, centered. But since the entire stand is forced to the drive side (by the stand hinge contacting the timing gear) that slot would have to be cut into the bolt to work. And because of the steep bevels on this plate, the thing really has to be centered (as shown) to work anyway.

Here is the interference problem. The bulky hinge area of the stand is shown contacting the timing gear - and in this position, the stand isn't yet centered between the chain stays anyway. You can see where the edge of the mounting plate is about at the center line of the chain stay? To be centered, it needs to over hang that chainstay by several millimeters.

FSA Gossomar MegaExo Crank Set.

Rear crank clearance. Used to be more clearance on the left, now they're equal.

Crank shim to fix shifting onto the small chain ring, and to even the rear cranks.

Selle Anatomica Saddles with cracked laminate. Both less than six months old. both with less than 1,000 miles on them. One is a "Clydsdale" laminate.
