Scott CR1 Pro - SOLD

I am selling my great carbon road bike. This 56 cm CR1 Pro is a 2006 model, purchased new in 2007. The model year is important because the 2006 bike that I'm selling here came with better wheels (Ksyrium Elite) than in later years. I am the original and only owner, and only rider. The bike has been meticulously maintained and has never been raced (since I don't know how) or crashed, or dropped, or damaged in any way. I take care of my equipment better than anybody else I ride with. This bike was only ridden on Sundays to church <grin>. There are no issues with this bike that I am aware of. It rides beautifully. I have simply moved on (... er... back) to a steel bike.

The CR1 pro is amazingly responsive. The fork and frame are carbon. Ultegra components throughout. The bike has always been kept clean (and you'll see what clean means to me in the pictures below - not just wiped with a rag!). And in many ways it is better than new. It was professionally changed to a compact double chain ring, and the shift cables are teflon coated, running in premium housings. Quality reflective material has been added in strategic locations. As configured in the pictures below, the bike weighs approximately 17.5 pounds, completely ready to ride (saddle is a new mid-weight unit that you can have if you want, and the pedals are Eggbeater SL's - not included in the price, but we can discuss pedals and set you up with flat pedals if needed).

This fantastic, ready-to-ride bike is offered for the bargain-basement price of $1700 now $1500.

This is part of what I mean by clean.

The rear brake, and a section of DOT reflective material on the rear bridge. This stuff reflects better than the big, clunky plastic reflectors. It is what you see on big-rigs.

On the front I have white reflective tape that doubles as paint protection from the shift cables. You can see it reflect in one of the shots above with the flash. (remind me to close the brakes before anybody test-rides it!)

View previous pictures of the bike here (you'll see different saddles and stems etc). The pictures on this page reflect exactly how the bike is today. The Eggbeater pedals are not included, though if you want them we can certainly work out a deal!
